Hi 👋 I’m Becci, owner of Cheeky Pickles Cloth Nappy Support & Hire and mum of two little boys, my very own cheeky pickles, who brighten my day no end (as you may have guessed, they are who inspired the name Cheeky Pickles).
My main aims for Cheeky Pickles are to share my passion for reusable cloth nappies, hopefully encouraging others to give them a chance, as well as supporting families who are wishing to give cloth a go, to try and make it a truly positive experience.
Now, you may be surprised to know, I was actually quite against the idea of using cloth nappies before we began our journey (unexpected right)! So I completely understand where people who aren't sure are coming from and why there is so much hesitation! Trying cloth nappies was actually something Steve really wanted to do if we ever had a second child (mainly for eco reasons so I couldn't knock that) and if I'm honest, I was really hesitant. I didn't think they'd be a good fit for me, mainly thinking it was going to be really hard work!
So, along came Seth and I stuck to my promise of giving them a go and well, have I been pleasantly surprised or what! After a few teething issues early on, I actually fell in love with them, found them almost just as easy as disposables and found there to be so many benefits, over and above the vital eco reasons. Surprisingly, the extra washing hasn't been a problem either, even with all the rain and rubbish British weather for drying washing outside!
I know I had a lot of questions or worries when I started, and I struggled with hunting out the information I needed to get going which is why I now want to help others, whether you’re just getting started, have run into a problem that needs troubleshooting, or need some help with your next steps in cloth.
Therefore, this is why I set up Cheeky Pickles, for all things cloth nappy support and hire, from 1:1 start up support sessions and cloth nappy workshops, to a wide range of hire kits for everyone (you included) to be able to try before committing to cloth yourselves.
Don't get me wrong, I know it may seem a big and even tough change to make, but it doesn't have to be! I can be here to help & guide you, plus hiring a cloth nappy kit gives you the perfect chance to give cloth a go, without the commitment so hey, if, in the end, you really decide it's not for you, then at least you can say you've tried can't you! 😊 Isn't that what we try to teach children all the time…it's giving things a go that's important!!
